After playing three games in three days in Minnesota the Dryden GM Ice Dogs are now the number one team in the SIJHL.

On Friday night in Thief River Jacen Bracko got the opening goal of the game but Blair Lindholm tied it up for the Norskies to leave it tied after the first period.

A similar second period saw Tristan Simm get the Dogs back on top before Parker Simonson tied the game up again leaving it 2-2 after forty minutes.

17 seconds into the third period Cory Dennis scored for the Ice Dogs on the power play.

A power play goal from Alec Daman tied the game up ten minutes later but the Dogs released a flurry of goals to take home the win.

Carson Lux, Tristan Simm and an empty net goal from Evan Walls pushed the Dryden GM Ice Dogs to a 6-3 victory.

Back at it again the next night the Ice Dogs managed to blank the Norskies earning Landon Pavilsin the shut out stopping all 24 shots he faces.

The first period saw goals from Brendan Jay and Bracko in the middle of the frame.

The second period saw two more goals from Dakotah Woods and Walls.

In the third period Ted Davis got his third as an Ice Dog to secure a 5-0 victory over the Norskies.

Finally on Sunday the Ice Dogs faced the Minnesota Iron Rangers at the Hoyt Lakes Arena.

The Ice Dogs continued their weekend dominance with Ice Dogs goalie Jacob Gnidziejko earning his own shut out stopping all 27 shots he faced.

A late goal from Walls in the first period opened the scoring.

The second period saw goals from Trevor Kavanaugh and Matthew Pitchenese.

Kavanaugh scored another in the third period to put away the Iron Rangers 4-0.

This week was also special because Bracko became the Dryden GM Ice Dogs franchise leader in goals, surpassing former teammate and captain Derek McPhail.

The Ice Dogs are in English River on Friday and then return home for four games starting on March 7.
