Cadets host regional marksmanship meet

Cadets from 906 Machin marked a bronze medal team finish in a regional cadet marksmanship competition hosted at the Dryden Agricultural Centre, Saturday.

Approximately 40 cadets from Kenora, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout, Dryden, Vermilion Bay, Fort Frances and Atikokan competed in the event using air rifles in the local venue.

Fort Frances earned second place while Atikokan were the event’s top shooters

Ben Wright from 906 Machin finished with a second place individual result  in the junior category.

Overall, Atikokan shooters claimed the top three individual awards with 1st place going to Amy Pitura, second place for Kevyn Vos and third place going to Claire Poulin.
