Don’t miss your chance to catch Theatre 17’s production of Calendar Girls, running this week Feb. 19-22 at The Centre.

While you’re there be sure to pick up the must-have 2014 Calendar featuring members of the local cast, a fundraiser for the Dryden Regional Health Centre’s Oncology Unit.

Two separate casts will perform two nights each. Cast One — including Ellen Bloomfield, Darlene Fuerst, Karen McDonald, Gail Arnold, Kate Cook, Theresa Lambert, Yvette Burns, Renee Fediuk, Irene Skene, Katie Venne, Peter Marshall, Murray Cook, Adam Riley, and Bruce Walchuk — will perform Feb. 19 and Feb. 21.

The second cast — including Elaine Lavoie, Julija Graham, Kate Kroeker, Audrey Nosworthy, Melany Groves, Rachele Dupuis, Melissa Ewanchuk, Patti Gallaway, Irene Skene, Katie Venne and again Peter Marshall, Murray Cook, Adam Riley and Bruce Walchuk — will perform Feb. 20 and 22.

The heartwarming story is one that director Judith Hamilton says Theatre 17 has dreamed of doing for years — a true story of 11 Women’s Institute members, who, after the husband of one of the women died of leukaemia, posed nude for a calendar to raise money for their local hospital.
