The MooseFest committee held their annual general meeting on October 13. With many participants in the meeting, it proved to be very informative and educational.
The committee held elections of officers, with some new faces around the room. Devon MacKinnon will continue in her position of Chair, as will Bill Laidlaw in his position of Treasurer. Dana Soucie will hold the spot of Vice-Chair, Ally Dunham has taken over as secretary, Andi Kidd is the new rep for the city of Dryden and Sue Joly will be a director.
MooseFest continues to strive to bring an action packed event, this year having many new additions to the agenda. The committee has developed a brand new website, with an interactive calendar, as well as more photos and information to supplement.
Currently undertaking the task of applying for provincial funding, the MooseFest Executive will continue on with the tried and loved events, such as the Soapbox Derby, the windsurfing regatta and the Strongman Competition.
If you have any comments or suggestions, or to sign up an event, you can contact the MooseFest Executive by going to www.moosefest.webs.com and clicking on the contact us tab on the left.
