Let's hope that the networking that the mayor has done and the relationships she has forged with the Ministry/Provincial representatives help win the day and the money flows so this can become a reality. Concrete pouring on this facility will be the best news we can officially celebrate; a true sign this community is turning the corner and moving forward.

A big thank you and "job well done" to all involved in organizing the Torch Run. My family and I drove in from Thunder Bay, so I could participate in this monumental torch run and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay. Although the celebration was moved indoors, we still took the opportunity to see the beautiful Inukshuks at Van Horne landing (and of course took advantage of the scenery with some great torch shots) - it was truly a beautiful setting. Thanks again for your wonderful hospitality-this won't be a day we will soon forget. All the best !!

I think that there are alot of problems with drug use in this town. I know firsthand that there are some people in this town that are closet drug abuser's. People with significant position's within the community, including working steps away from the Dryden Police station. I think the police service should wake up and smell the coffee or else the young people are going to be exposed to drug's and will inevitably develop habits of drug abuse. Cocaine is rampant in Dryden, yet there are never any bust's. Oxycotin's, exctasy, crystal meth, hallucants, the list goes on. They are readily available in this small community. Something needs to be done.

I find it hard to believe that the conservations officers of Ontario have nothing better to do then bully a lady making art.As a hunter myself i do understand there are laws in place to protect animals and there body parts. but i find it embarrassing that our local CO are to caught up in busting harden criminals like our local artist that could of just been educated and in the process letting the real poachers run around the BUSH at will.there seems to be a storie like this every year and its no wonder that the outdoors man and the city-dweller alike have lost respect for the CO of the north.
