Trophy buck shot west of Dryden
A large whitetail deer was shot just west of Dryden earlier in the week by some visiting hunters staying at Indian Point Camp.
Tim Noyse of Vermont, USA and his hunting party came across the deer and tracked it for over an hour before Noyse finally put the deer down. They had to pull it out of some rough terrain to get it back to the camp.
The deer weighs in a 235 lbs and has a large 14 point rack. The hunters and camp owners are still waiting on an official scores.
Stay tuned for scoring results and check out next week’s print edition of the Dryden Observer for more details.
This big snapping turtle was seen in the Indian Chain of Lakes back in July. The turtle was out sunning himself when Alison Pilipishen spotted him and took a picture.
