Senior girls going to OFSAA

This post was written by Sarah Madussi

The Eagles Senior girls’ volleyball team is off to OFSAA after their two-game NWOSSA win over St. Ignatius High School in Thunder Bay over the weekend.
The girls took game one in three sets, 25-9, 25-23, 25-13.
Coach Todd Desautels says by shutting down their lead hitter, they easily put away St. Ignatius.
“The girls played to the game throughout the entire match. We had to shut one of their middle hitters by serving placement and we did.
We got off our game plan in the second set but were able to pull out a hard from crom behind win.
Round two was much quicker for the girls as they beat out the home team 25-12, 25-9, 25-10.
Desautels says the team was focused on the task at hand and stuck to the game plan throughout the entire match.
The girls will make their way to the all Ontario championships March 8-10 in Perth, ON.
