Insta-Loans robbed at knifepoint

The Dryden Polce Service is investigating an armed robbery at a local ‘pay-day loan’ agency located on Hwy. 17.

Shortly after 8 p.m., Jan. 5, a male walked into Insta-Loans, brandished a knife and demanded the employee turn over money.

The suspect then fled the building with $5,000 in cash.

The Dryden Police Service is seeking the publics assistance in locating the male described as:

A First Nations male with native accent, early 20s, 5 foot 7 to 5 foot 8 inches tall, slight build, medium brown skin, has shallow cheeks with high cheek bones, average or slightly smaller than average eyes, no facial hair with healthy looking skin.

The suspect was last seen wearing a dark coloured hoodie with white writing or design on the front. The hood was pulled over a ‘gangster’ style hat that he was wearing. He wore light coloured skateboard style runners.

If you have any information that may lead to the identity and the arrest of this person, please contact the Dryden Police Service Criminal Investigations Unit at 223-3281.
