To officially kick off the Dudley Hewitt Cup Championship festivities in Dryden The Dryden GM Ice Dogs are hosting an Alumni Game to showcase the talented players that have played in Dryden over the years.

“I believe that everything in life happens exactly as it should. In saying that I believe that it took every single player, coach, executive member, billet home, volunteer, sponsor and fan to get us to where we are today. My hope for the Alumni Game is to celebrate every one of those people as we start our Dudley-Hewitt Cup run,” said Dudley Hewitt Cup Secretary Shawna Sveinson. “Our organization has a saying ‘Once a Dog, Always a Dog’ and having players come back to town to play in this game and to support this year’s team gives us the opportunity to prove that statement to be true.”

The Alumni Game will be held on Saturday, April 28. The Alumni game will be played at 4 p.m. with a social to follow in the evening starting at 8 p.m. Both events will take place at the Dryden Memorial Arena. Any previous Ice Dogs player is welcome to register to play; cost to register is $150 per player, which includes a jersey, socks and entrance into that evening’s social.

The 2018 Dudley Hewitt Cup Central Canada Junior A Hockey Championship will be held in Dryden from May 1 to 5, 2018.
