Golf season may be over at Eagles’ Landing but the building by the lake has been busy with hungry people ready to try a new menu.
Mystic Grill opened on October 1 and for owners Brianne and James Smith it has been a busy transition from where they were previously cooking.
“We went from just doing it ourselves to, I think there are about 20 staff now. When you’re used to doing it just the two of you it’s a challenge but it’s a good challenge,” said Smith.
The Smith’s started out at Huber’s Lone Pine Lodge for the summer and, with some help from other family, they got into their restaurant groove. But the stay at Huber’s was seasonal and they wanted something more permanent; they say they’ve found the best spot for them.
Brianne has managed restaurants in the past and James has been working with food all his life. At the Mystic Grill he gets the opportunity to use his vast knowledge.
“He’s such an amazing cook and people needed to see it,” said Smith of her husband. “His ideas are absolutely amazing and the presentation of our food is huge for us. At Huber’s we had pansies on all of our plates and of course because winter is coming we’re trying to figure something else out.”
Also with winter coming at their location they expect to welcome many snowmobilers looking to eat or warm up.
The Mystic Grill offers many fresh and unique meals, lunch specials, Sunday brunch and a lounge with an 84-inch television. They are open until midnight.
