It is with great sorrow the family of Norman Vaccher announce his unexpected passing on May 16, 2017, after a brief battle with cancer.
Norm was born in Fort William, Ontario, to John and Nella Vaccher of Udine, Italy. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Lorraine, for 55 years. Together they had three children that he cherished, Denise (Scott), Greg (Lila) and Sue. Norm took tremendous pride and joy in his four grandchildren, Jordan, Josh, Jaxon and Jayme.
Norm treasured his family, spent time in his workshop, enjoyed fishing and had a passion for hockey, especially the Dryden GM Ice Dogs.
He will be sadly missed and forever loved by his family.
A Memorial Funeral Mass to celebrate the life of Norman Vaccher will be held Tuesday, May 23rd at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Milton McWatch officiating.
Interment of ashes will take place at a later date.
If friends desire donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Dryden GM Ice Dogs through the Stevens Funeral Homes P.O. Box 412, Dryden ON P8N 2Z1. Condolences may be posted at www.stevensfuneralhomes.ca
