The Dryden District Chamber of Commerce has made several big changes over this past year, a new logo, a new website, a new Manager, a new Chair, etc so the decision to move to a new location is part of the Chamber’s re-brand.  The old location served the Chamber well for many years, but they are excited about the new location downtown at 101-B Duke Street (with the entrance facing the parking lot).

Although the Chamber has moved, the Visitor Information Centre and the Naked North Art Gallery & Gifts remain at 284 Government Street.

2016 was a great year for the Chamber.  With the Shop Local Campaign, 4 different Member Showcase Campaigns, the Business Excellent Awards and Midnight Madness to name a few, the Chamber has been very busy.  The Chamber recently hosted a Small Business Owners Tax Workshop with a presentation by BDO.   It’s all about helping the businesses and organizations succeed and everyone at the Chamber is so pleased to see the amount of participants in each of the events held.

The Chamber is very proud to have welcomed 35 new members in 2016 making them 171 members strong.  They are very excited to see so many businesses and organizations taking advantage of the benefits of belonging to the Chamber.

The Chamber is looking forward to a very busy year ahead.  First on the list, and back by popular demand, is the Shop Local Campaign.  Shoppers can watch for the “Passports to Dryden” at participating retailers early in the new year.  The Chamber plans to host additional workshops and seminars this year that will assist small business owners and managers with their everyday operations.  Planning is already underway for the next Business Excellence Awards.

It is shaping up to be a very busy year and The Chamber is excited to continue to be “The Voice of Business” in 2017 from their new location.

The Dryden District Chamber of Commerce would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.  Enjoy your time with family and friends.  Have a safe and happy holiday.
