It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother of 6 and great grandmother of 7, Lily Field.
Lily was born October 10, 1920 to Beatrice and Arthur Myren in Dryden. Growing up the family moved to the Peace River Country where she experienced and cherished some of her most precious memories. Eventually finding her way back to Dryden, she found employment at the St. Regis Bag Factory working side by side with her sister Stella. As time went on she met and married Lloyd Field and settled in Dryden to raise her family. Lily loved her family very much. She raised 2 sons: Reg and Don and a daughter Diane. She loved cooking, cleaning, canning, baking and all the things involved in running an almost perfect household. And, of course if you knew Lily at all you knew her passion was bingo, along with bus tours, collecting spoons and spending countless hours volunteering at the Dryden Go-Getters.
Lily is survived and will be forever missed by her son Don (Paulette) and daughter Diane (Dale), both of Dryden, by 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren who will also cherish her memory and miss her dearly.
Lily was predeceased by her mom and step-dad Beatrice and Jeppe Kjeldsen, her father Arthur Myren, loving husband Lloyd, her son Reg and infant daughter Doreen as well as 4 sisters: Greta, Mary, Stella and May.
We’ll miss you Mom.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to the staff of Princess Court for their excellent care and wonderful friendship.
A celebration of Lily’s life was held Monday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m. in the Moffat Chapel of Stevens Funeral Home with Velma Henderson officiating. Interment followed in the Dryden Cemetery.
