Dryden’s newest taxi service has been in business for only a little over a week now and owner/operator Ben Fehr couldn’t be happier with the response.

Cabbie’s Taxi is hoping to fill a void that Fehr says has been needed within the community for some time.

“I just wanted to branch out on my own and do something different,” said Fehr. “It was definitely time for a change and the community has requested change in the taxi business so I thought it was something that needed to be done.”

Fehr has over 35 years in the taxi business in Dryden and he prides himself on his clean vehicle and prompt service. Fehr drives a 2010 Charger, which also doubles as his office. Cabbie’s is also the only taxi service in Dryden that accepts all major credit cards as well as debit cards.

With experience and passion Fehr has already been keeping busy.

“Yesterday was probably my busiest day I went 14 hours pretty well non stop,” said Fehr. “I’m overwhelmed and very humbled to know it has taken off very well.”

Cabbie’s Taxi can be reached at 216-8943. Fehr also has a Cadillac that can be used for special occasions.
