Get out and enjoy the many events and celebrations surround ing Moosefest and Canada Day this long weekend

 

Sunday, June 29

9 a.m. – 1 p.m.

The Dryden triathlon is scheduled for Sunday June 29. All information including registration can be found at www.drydentriathlon.com. Grab some friends and enter a team. New this year a Try a Tri, for those people who would like to try a triathlon but are worried about the distances. Contact Cindy Smith with any questions at (807) 223-8876.

 

Canada Day Events

Tuesday, July 1

8 a.m. – 11 a.m.

Royal Canadian Legion Pancake Breakfast. For details call 807-223-4033

 

8:30 a.m. – 10 a.m.

St. John’s Church pancake breakfast at the Wabigoon Memorial Hall .

 

10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Colours of Hope 5k Walk/Run – Celebrate Life in full Colour, join in the fun with this non-competitive 5km walk/run

Canada Day Picnic in Post Park, 1994 Lyle Road in Eagle River

Canada Day Activities – Arena; Cooper Park; Victoria Street Dock

This family oriented celebration is free to all who attend and a great way to celebrate our nation’s 147th birthday in Dryden’s beautiful Cooper Park. Included is Car Show and Shine, Made in Canada Day exhibits, family fun zone, road hockey, music, food vendors, craft vendors, giant board games. Wednesday, July 2 –

all day

Dryden Canoe Races – Register at 9 a.m. at the riverfront of the Riverview Lodge. There will be tandem races, a pro-boat and competitive cruiser division, and under 17ft stock division.
