GALLERY: Senior boys fall to Churchill Trojans in NWOSSA series

Home court advantage wasn’t enough for Dryden High School’s senior boys basketball team in their bid to advance past a best-of-three NWOSSA?championship series, Feb. 22.

With adept scoring from the three-point line, Thunder Bay’s Churchill Trojans gained an early lead in Game One while the Eagles battled hard to remain within ten points of them with Nick Skillen accounting for 17 points and Kurtis Burnell leading with 22 points. Game One would end with a score of 77-62. The Trojans would seal their victory later that evening and secure a spot at provincial championships with an 81-62 win.
