District darts champions head to playdowns

Darts teams from six Royal Canadian Legion branches across the district converged in Dryden for district playdowns in early February. Hometown advantage proved to be a factor as the local team of (from left): Art Brisson, Tony Ryan, Don Carbert, and Billy MacIsaac emerged as district champs for 2012. They are joined in the picture by Legion District Commander Marlene Gagne (right) and Legion Sports Chairman Ray Watson. The local team will now advance to Command Playdowns, April 20-22 at the Fort Garry branch of the Royal Canadian Legion in Winnipeg. Photo submitted
