Obituaries — 03 January 2012
Opal passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre after a courageous battle with cancer.Opal was raised in Deerlock, ON, daughter to Russell and Geneva Haney and was one of thirteen children.
Opal married the love of her life Allan on October 16, 1954. Together they raised their children, Cheryl, Orval (Martha), and Gayleen (Mike). Her grandchildren, Eko (Jerry), Matt, Kayla, Carmen and great grandchildren Eloi and Jasper were the light of her life.
The family would like to thank the medical, kitchen, and cleaning staff at the Dryden Regional Health Centre. There are so many of you who deserve a special thank you, but the list is far too long.
In Opal’s memory a donation can be made to the DRHC Palliative Care Unit or a charity of your choice.
