Well known former Domtar Dryden manager Norm Bush is making a move from forestry into the mining sector and staging a return to Northwestern Ontario.

Named to the role of vice president – Goliath Gold Project, Bush’s new job was one of two senior management appointments announced by Treasury Metals Dec. 14 to assist the ongoing advancement of the Goliath Gold Project. John Chulick, former vice president of exploration at Aquiline Resource Inc.) has been hired to oversee the exploration team.

The Goliath Gold Project is located approximately 20 kilometres east of the city of Dryden.

“These new management appointments reflect the significant progress made in 2011 and our long-term commitment to advance the Goliath Gold Project towards production. We are very pleased to have people with this level of experience and credentials on our management team,” said Martin Walter, President and CEO of Treasury Metals, Inc.

As Vice President – Goliath Gold Project, Bush will oversee the project development team with short-term priorities focused on permitting, engineering activities, safety and environmental management systems with the goal of moving the project through the feasibility stage. Mr. Bush is a former Vice President at Domtar LLC and Weyerhaeuser, and General Manager at MacMillan Bloedel Ltd. An engineer with more than 25 years in executive positions across North America, he has extensive government and public affairs experience. He has led teams that completed major capital projects including extensive upgrades and additions to Domtar’s world-class pulp mill located in Dryden. Bush will be based out of the exploration office in Dryden and joins an expanding team of engineers and environmental staff.
