Shirley Rose Matsalla – April 25, 1949 – November 15, 2011
It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Shirley Rose Matsalla age 62 of Vermilon Bay at the Dryden Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, November 15th, 2011.
Shirley was born on April 25, 1949 to Joe and Nellie Zayshley in Canora, Saskatchewan. She married Lawrence Matsalla in July of 1966.
Shirley is survived by her beloved husband of 45 years Lawrence; sons Darcy (Mary-Ann) of Poplar Point, MB, Cory (Maggie) of Winnipeg, MB and their families; sisters Marlene Lyhkun of Kenora, and Debbie (Cory) Kowalchuk of Saskatoon. She was predeceased by her parents Joe and Nellie.
“We love you and will miss you always.”
At Shirley’s request, there will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held at a later date.
If desired, memoriam donations may be made to the Northern Cancer Research Fund through the Dryden Community Funeral Home, 249 Grand Trunk Ave. Dryden, ON P8N 2X3.
