They were so fortunate to have recently celebrated 60 years of marriage together and Dad was the wind beneath Mom’s wings.
Peter was employed in 1954 at the then Dryden Paper Co. and retired after 30 years as a millwright. Peter’s talents were many from mechanics to carpentry, and from fabricating to farming. Dad took great pleasure in helping, repairing, or offering advice to his family on how to tackle any job.
Peter tackled the changing world with enthusiasm and at the age of 80 took great interest in the tech age and purchased a computer where he researched current events of the world, emailed friends and family, and managed his own investment portfolio online.
Peter’s love of the outdoors for hunting, fishing and camping, inspired his family to do the same.
Peter will forever be remembered and loved by his family and missed for his amazing recall on names, places, and memories; “he was a great story teller.”
A Celebration of Peter’s Life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to DRHC Equipment Fund through the Dryden Community Funeral Home.
