The Dryden Ski Club is preparing for the season, and getting the hill ready for opening.
Volunteers having been working strenuously for many weekends, painting, mowing, cutting and upgrading the hill and grounds.
The ropes are all up, the snow is falling, and for the avid skier, the long-closed run, Senior, is looking like it will be open this winter.
The downhill group are already starting to plan their winter races and events, and Kurt Schmidt, cross-country director, has some big plans for different courses and challenges available for the cross-country skier.
Schmidt is looking to expand the trails this year, and possibly open up the Banana Lake area.
The hill has recently acquired a new Bombardier groomer with the help of generous sponsors, and will have the equipment to groom the hill in half the time as previous years.
For more information on the ski hill and opening times, watch the Dryden Ski Club Facebook Page, and keep an eye out for the new website which is currently being designed.
You can also leave a message at the hill by calling 937-4265 and your call will be returned promptly.
