According to the Ontario Municipal Act, 2001, under Section 284, the treasurer of the municipality shall in each year on or before March 31, provide to the council of the municipality an itemized statement of remuneration and expenses paid in the previous year to each member of council in respect of his or her services as a member of the council or any other body to which the member has been appointed by council.In the report issued by city treasurer, Linda McNaughton, it states that the City of Dryden has not prepared a statement of council remuneration and expenses in the past as not all local boards have submitted required information.  For 2010, although past the March 31 deadline, all information has been received and included.For 2010, former mayor Anne Krassilowsky received over $25,000 in remuneration,  $17,700 in per diems and over $36,000 in travel expenses.  Total amount was $79,768.68.Krassilowsky’s remuneration included $2,104 for Police Board Remuneration, KDSB Annual Stipend saw another $1,000, and a NOMA Honorarium granted another $2,000.  Travel expenses were listed for Krassilowsky as $14,312 for city travel and $22,525 for NOMA travel.Brian Collins saw remuneration of $10,269 and $2,300 for the Police Board, with only $600 per diem and $978.23 in city travel.Gary Case saw $9,148 remuneration, $950 per diem and $1,849 in city travel.  For Mel Fisher, the numbers came in at $11,211 remuneration with an additional $1,500 for the Northwest Health Unit Honorarium, $1,050 per diem and $3,502 in travel.Mike Wood’s numbers came in at $12,019 remuneration and $900 per diem.  Wood saw an additional $2825 in travel.New councillors Martin MacKinnon, Ken Moss, and Mary Trist have already tallied $851 in remuneration, with current mayor Craig Nuttall seeing $2,068 in council and Police Board remuneration as well as $200 per diem and $504 in city travel.
