Mia Ann Kurz – 1914 – 2011

In loving memory of Mia Ann Kurz, age 96 years, who passed away peacefully at her residence in Princess Court on Tuesday, February 1st.

Mia is survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was predeceased by her parents, sister Betty Oelkers and brothers, Henry, Frank, Oscar, Werner, Mack and Hans.
Born and raised in Waldhof, she moved to Dryden in 1943 and lived there for the rest of her life.  She was an active member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, the Catholic Women’s League, the Senior Citizens’ Horticultural Society and enjoyed painting and embroidering.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated Friday, February 4th at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Rev. Alan Campeau officiating. Interment followed in the Dryden Cemetery.
A Vigil Prayer Service was held Thursday at 6:15 p.m. in the Princess Court Long Term Care Home.
