Beau DiLoreto battles it out amid a spray of snow to find success with the only Ice Dog’s goal in the third period of the January 14 game against the Thunder Bay North Stars.

Dryden Ice Dogs find themselves tied for third place in the Superior International Junior Hockey League (SIJHL) standings with the Thunder Bay North Stars.

The Ice Dogs squared off against the Thunder Bay team on Friday, January 14 at the Dryden Memorial Arena with a loss for the Dogs of 3-1.
The North Stars got three on the Dogs within the first six minutes of contest, with Brett Timmerman giving way to Ian Perrier.
Beau DiLoreto stopped the run for a North Stars shut out with a goal 13 seconds into the third period, and the only Ice Dogs’ goal for the night.
With the North Stars making 27 stops overall, the Ice Dogs weren’t so successful.  Timmerman faced five shots and Perrier was perfect kicking out all 18 shots on goal.
The Ice Dogs battled it out on Saturday, January 15 against the Wisconsin Wilderness but conceded to the visitors with a second loss of 5-1.
Wisconsin took two goals on the Ice Dogs in the first period, with one more slipping by Perrier early in the second.
Dwight Lee scored the only goal of the night on a power play, saving the Dogs from a shutout.
The Wilderness made it a 4-1 game in the third, and added a fifth and final goal at 2:05.
Perrier faced 23 shots on goal, as the Ice Dogs fell to 24-16.
