It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother and grandmother, Olive Irene Lundstrom, at her home in Princess Court with family by her side on Thursday, December 16, 2010 at the age of 91.Olive was born October 9, 1919 in Emo, ON to Nina and George Smith. In 1946 she married Clarence Lundstrom in Fort Frances and in 1948, they moved to the Dryden area. As a homemaker all her life, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, reading, baking and raising their family.
Olive is survived by her six children: Doug (Joan) Lundstrom, Beverly (John) Mallery, Claire (Joe) Aguiar, Shirley McQueen, Joan (John) Turner, Bill (Liz) Lundstrom; and by her 13 grandchildren: Kevin Lundstrom, Heather Meek, Nathan Lundstrom, Michael Mallery, Barbra Duggan, Alison Allen, Anthony Aguiar, David McQueen, Cindy Schultz, Shaunda Hyatt, Candace Field, Blaire Lundstrom and Trisha Lundstrom. She will also be missed by her 22 great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Clarence in 1994 and by her grandson Gregory Lundstrom in 1973.
A Funeral Service was held on Monday, December 20th at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Pastor Ted Searle officiating. Interment followed in the Dryden Cemetery.
