It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Lucille Noble on November 24, 2010 at the age of 92.
Lucille was born in Winnipeg in 1918 and was raised and educated in Sioux Lookout.  She took a secretarial course in Winnipeg and moved to Dryden in the early 1940s. She worked for the provincial government with the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of the Attorney General.
Lucille married Ab Noble in 1950, and had two children, Heather and Bert. Once they were in school she went back to work with the Ministry of the Attorney General until her retirement in 1980.  She also worked as a Justice of the Peace.
She enjoyed skiing in her youth and curled for many years. She was an avid curling and hockey fan. Travel was an important part of her life, both for adventure and to visit family.
She was blessed to have wonderful friends and loyal neighbours.
Lucille was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion and was a dedicated member of the First United Church.
She had many health challenges but always embraced the positives without dwelling on hardship.  She displayed great strength and courage.
Her greatest joy came from spending time with her children and grandchildren and she just loved to see her great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Ab, her sister Berniece and an infant brother Fredrick.
Lucille is survived by her daughter Heather (David) Emmett of Tasmania; son Bert (Gwen) Noble of British Columbia; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a special niece Donna Hall; a special nephew Gerrie Noble and numerous other relatives.
