The Dryden Ice Dogs have had a busy week in the SIJHL. Going up against the first place team, the Fort Frances Lakers, the Dogs skated away with a 6-1 win over the leaders.
Taking the team to the win were goal scorers Beau DiLoreto, Jon Mitchell, Jesse Linner, Henry Vadnais and Ben McLellan.
Goalie Ian Perrier made 28 saves out of 29 shots to make it four consecutive wins for the Ice Dogs.
The team would carry on to defeat the Thunder Bay North Stars on Friday, November 19 with a 2-1 win against the Stars, making a five game streak.
Alex Galbraith can take claim to both game winning goals.
The Ice Dogs couldn’t make it six in a row, with a 3-2 loss to the Thunder Bay North Stars the next night.
Thomas Greene and Julius Tamasy made the goals for the Ice Dogs, with Ian Perrier succeeding in 22 saves.
The Ice Dogs will see their home arena again on Friday, November 26 against the Wisconson Wilderness, with puck drop at 7:30 p.m.
