Obituaries — 27 October 2010
In loving memory of Mervin Sanders who passed away at Princess Court October 20, 2010 with his family by his side.
Mervin is survived by his daughters, Glenna Nosal, Fay Besselt and Kathy (Wayne) Parr; his son Gordon (Debbie); daughter-in-law Mary Sanders and sister-in-law June Sanders.
He was predeceased by his wife Olive, a son Robert, a brother Robert and two sons-in-law Steve Nosal and Rick Besselt.
He will be forever missed by 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dad was a veteran of World War II and returned home to work at the St. Regis Bag Factory.  He then went on to his best known job as a milkman for Grove Side Dairy.  He also witched wells for numerous people in the area.  After retiring, he and mom went on many bus tours including many bowling trips.  His highlight of that time was winning a National Bowling Championship with his team.
Dad always enjoyed spending time with his family, snowmachining and camping with his grandchildren.  He liked to play cards, loved animals and taught all the kids how to waltz.  He will be forever missed and always loved.
A Memorial Funeral Service was held Sat., Oct. 23, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. in First United Church in Dryden with Pastor Doug Brown officiating.  Branch #63 of the Royal Canadian Legion conducted a Veteran’s Memorial Service.  Interment for both Mervin and Olive followed in the Dryden Cemetery.
