It was a busy week last week for the Dryden Eagles, with volleyball and basketball.
Senior boys volleyball played the Fort Frances Muskies, taking the first set 25 to 20, but losing the second set with a score of 18 to 25. The boys didn’t stay down long though, taking the round with two final wins with scores of 25 to 13 in the third set and 25 to 21 in the fourth and final.
The junior boys volleyball didn’t have as much luck as the seniors this time, being defeated by Fort Frances with one win and three losses.
With the first game a win for the Eagles at 25 to 19, Fort Frances took the next three games with scores of 25 to 15, 25 to 23 and the final score in favor of Fort at 25 to 21.
On the basketball courts, the senior girls played hard, but took a loss to Fort Frances with a final score of 33 to 19. Leading the scoreboard with five points was Morgan Church, followed by Emile Gardam with four points.
The junior girls had more success in their fight with the Fort Frances Muskies. The junior basketball players secured a win with a final score of 20 to 16.
With a strong team, Christina Medwid, Liv Carter, Amy Doudiet and Amy Knipping each scored four points for the Eagles team.
