Obituaries — 15 September 2010
It is with great sadness that the family of Al (Albert) Fortin announces his passing at St. Joseph’s hospital in Thunder Bay, Ontario, on September 3rd, 2010.
Al was raised in Saskatoon. In 1956 he apprenticeshipped in Dryden, Ontario as a pipe-fitter. He worked for the Dryden Mill for over 36 years and then retired in 1992.
Al loved Northwestern Ontario. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. His daily walks brought him much joy.
Al is survived by his wife Shirley; daughters, Louise (Jeff), Penny (Bob); son, Brent (Kathy); grandchildren, Shannon, Ben, Melissa, Tyler, Liam and granddaughter, McKenna.
As per Al’s wishes cremation has taken place and no funeral service will be held.
If friends so desire donations can be made to the St. Joe’s hospice in Thunder Bay, Ontario in Al’s name.
