Obituaries — 11 August 2010
Richard Zoccole, of Thunder Bay, died  peacefully in his home on Thursday, July 29th, 2010.
Richard  was born in Dryden, Ontario on January 19, 1954 to Carmelo Zoccole and Agnes Paranteau who pre-deceased him.
Richard met the love of his life Mary Louise Sky at an early age and they were married on August 19th, 1972.  Richard and Mary moved to Thunder Bay where he started employment with the Canadian Car Company (Bombardier) where he remained employed until health concerns sidelined his career.  He was an avid golfer and was staunch in his aboriginal beliefs.
Richard  was a loving family man who was always the life of any family function. He had two children, Richard and Derek who gave him the seven grandchildren (Justin, Courtney, Damais, Reine, Tyler, Christopher and Joshua) who were a vital part of Richard’s and Mary’s life.
Richard also had seven siblings Johnny, Carl and Mike who predeceased him and Frances, Art, Doreen and Wanda who remain, and numerous, nieces, nephews,  brother- and sisters-in-law whom he never missed a chance to spend time with.
The funeral was held Monday, August 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at the Wabigoon Metis Hall. Interment followed at the Dinorwic Cemetery.
