February 9, 1916 – April 24, 2010

It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of our mother, Annie Scheibler, on April 24, 2010, at the age of 94.

She was predeceased by husband Emil, September, 1982 and son Victor, May, 1989, brothers Mike and John and sister Mary.

Survived by son Fred (Donna) Scheibler, Dryden, daughters: Helen (Bob) Kellner, Rainy River, and Marian (Harold) Ingebrigtsen, of Eton Rugby, by 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren, her brother Roy Gwiazda (Edie), sister Alice Brown and sister-in-law Joan Gwiazda, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Annie was born in Molson, Manitoba. She married Emil Scheibler and they lived in Manitoba before moving to the Dryden area in 1943, where they farmed and later moved to town. Her interests were her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed knitting, gardening, fishing and blueberry picking. She also knit hundreds of pairs of mitts and socks for the hospital tuck shop. Annie lived in her home, until November, 2004, when she moved in to Princess Court, where she lived until her passing. She enjoyed her years at Princess Court and we give special thanks to the staff for Mom’s care.

Mom will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by family and friends.

A funeral service was held Saturday, May 1^st at 2:00 p.m. in the Moffat Chapel of the Stevens Funeral Homes with Alice Bloomfield officiating. Interment followed in the Dryden Cemetery. Visitation was held Friday evening from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Moffat Chapel.
