Johannes Bernardus Jansen (Joe) – June 25, 1927 – December 22, 2009 Harmke Jansen-Heuten (Hammie) – January 19, 1925 – February 2, 2010

In loving memory of Johannes Bernardus Jansen (Joe) born June 25, 1927 who passed away December 22, 2009 in Deventer, Holland and Harmke Jansen-Heuten (Hammie) born January 19, 1925 who passed away February 2, 2010 in Deventer, Holland.

Joe and Hammie are survived by their children, Carrie Kok-Jansen (Tonnie Kok), Pien Schaffer, Arnold Jansen (Melina), Deanne Deblois-Jansen (Guy Deblois), Janny Jansen (Rob Blaauwbroek), grandchildren, great grandchildren, a brother and sister of Joe and a sister of Hammie.

Joe and Hammie immigrated in 1957 from Deventer, Holland to Dinorwic and lived in Dryden, Ontario, Canada from 1957 till 1970.

Joe worked in the bush, and at Alex Wilson’s and was a loving and caring man for his family and friends, he loved to go fishing and loved to be outdoors. He also liked to play characters at parties and had a lot of humour. Gardening was also one of his great hobbies. In his last years he liked to make cards for Christmas and birthdays.

Hammie was a loving and caring person for her family and friends. She liked to go on trips with her kids and also just to go shopping. She enjoyed cooking great dinners for family and friends.

Joe and Hammie were always talking about their time in Canada with their lovely friends and missed them truly.

Joe and Hammie were cremated in Deventer, Holland respectively on the 29th of December 2009 and the 8th of February 2010.

They will truly be missed by family and friends.
