Oxdrift Fire was dispatched by 911 to a large garage / shop fire Wednesday evening just after 8 pm, on arrival Oxdrift fire crews attacked the fire with several water handlines. The Oxdrift Fire Command called the Dryden Fire Service for mutual aid assistance of firefighters early into the incident. Six Oxdrift units with 16 firefighters were aided by 12 Dryden firefighters and 3 units, the fire was under control within 1 hour, and Oxdrift fire crews remained on the scene for another hour extinguishing hot spots.
The Oxdrift Fire Department is investigating the cause of this large loss fire.
