Suddenly at the Woodstock General Hospital on Sunday, January 31st, 2010. Benjamin F. McDonald of Woodstock passed away in his 79th year.
Beloved husband of Shirley G. McDonald (nee Johnson). Dear father of Lynda (Howard) Deline of Beachville, Patti McDonald, Jim (Kim) McDonald and Dave (Erin) McDonald all of Wood-
stock. Loved grandfather of Steven (Chantelle), Brad (Arielle), and Eric (Tabitha) Deline; Misty (Dana), Katelyn and Tyler McDonald; Owen, and Grace McDonald. Special great grandfather to Olivia Deline and Gabriel Lucas. Ben is also survived by his sister Ellenor (Kasimer) Hercun, Joyce (Ed) Swanson, Dorothy (Michael) Duchnicki, and brother-in-law of Ron (Kerry) Johnson, Allan (Jackie) Johnson, and Carol (David) Oliver, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Frank and Eliza (nee Wall) McDonald, and sister Evangeline Lechelt and her husband Ron.
Ben was a longtime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #55 Woodstock, the Woodstock Curling Club and the Downs Golf Club for several years. He also enjoyed travelling around Ontario playing in horseshoe tournaments.
Funeral service was held Thursday, February 4th in the Chapel of The Longworth Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m.
