You can’t get any close than that.
With 0.1 seconds left on the clock, the Beaver Brae Broncos managed to squeeze the game winning goal past Eagle goaltender Kim Wildehaber and avoid an overtime scramble.
The Eagles were down 2-0 near the middle of the first period but Ryan Lobreau would bring the team within one to end the first period.
The Broncos added their third goal just seconds in the second but Matt Bartlett would bring the Eagles within one again.
Bartlett found the back of the net again just seconds into the third and a fast paced, hard hitting game went all the way to the dying seconds before the Broncos sealed the win.
The boys are back in action in Fort Frances on Feb. 9 against the Muskies.
