Christine Teenie Morton – 1911-2009

In loving memory of Christine Morton, age 98 years, who passed away peacefully in her residence at Princess Court on Friday, November 20.

Born and educated in Brokenhead, Manitoba, Christine moved to Winnipeg at age 17. She came to Dryden in 1949 and lived here for the rest of her life, enjoying the out-of-doors, camping, fishing and gardening and she loved animals.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Christine Morton is survived by her step-daughter Maxine Charzewski of Fonthill, Ontario; by two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Maxwell in 1998, by three sisters, Anna, Sadie and Mary and one brother Nicholas.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the Moffat Chapel of the Stevens Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Wightman officiating.  Interment followed in the Dryden Cemetery.
