Helen Irene Thomas – December 20, 1952 – November 3, 2009

Helen Irene Thomas, 56, of Vermilion Bay, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009.
Helen was born on December 20, 1952 in Dryden, Ontario and was a lifelong area resident. She most recently worked as a custodian at the local elementary school, where she was loved and adored by the staff and kids. In the most recent years Helen had developed a passion for flower gardening.
She is survived by her husband Ted, Vermilion Bay; daughters Shelly Wilson and husband Don of Vermilion Bay and Crystal Thomas of Calgary, AB; grandson Bobbie Wilson of Vermilion Bay; sisters Linda Anderson and husband Roy of Vermilion Bay and Maureen Fritz and husband Mike of White Rock, BC; brother-in-law Don Pollard of Vermilion Bay and numerous family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents Maurice and Fran Perkins and sister Evelyn Pollard.
A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, November 7th, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Church in Vermilion Bay with Alice Bloomfield officiating.
There was no Visitation or burial as cremation has taken place.
