Merald Margaret Reed (nee Jackson) – April 26, 1918 to August 16, 2009
Merald was born to William and Christina Jackson (nee Ingram) in Neepawa, Manitoba on April 26, 2918.
She came to Ontario in May of 1940 and married George Reed in October, 1942. She really enjoyed the company of family and friends. Her hobbies were gardening, especially growing flowers, knitting, crocheting and other handwork.
Merald is survived by daughters Donna (Frank) Clark, Nolalu, ON; Carol (Harvey) Henriksson, Thunder Bay; Karen (Frank) Wormald, Halifax, NS; and one son Barrie (Billy Jane) Reed, Gurnee, Ill. and six grandchildren, Patrick and Scott Clark, Susan Reed, Robbie (Jocelyn) Reed and Tyler Henriksson; two great grandsons and one great granddaughter and nieces and nephews.
Merald was predeceased by her husband, her parents, her brother Mervyn Jackson and an infant daughter.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 21, 2009 from noon to 1 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home. Funeral service was held on Friday, August 21, 2009 at 1 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home with Jack Price, Richard Knight and David Jury officiating.
Interment to follow at the Quibell Cemetery.
