The family is very saddened to announce the passing of their mother Evelyn Wolframe on Wednesday, July 8th 2009.
Born in Emo on February 1, 1936 to Colin and Myra McDonald. She married Allan Wolframe on May 11, 1954. Mom and Dad lived in many places around Northwestern Ontario and Alberta, making Kenora the place they spent most of their married life.
Evelyn was predeceased by her mother and father, and Allan in 1999.
Mom was a loving and talented lady. She loved to do paper tole pictures which she did to perfection, sewed wonderful winter coats and mukluks, also loved to knit, crochet and bake. Of which she made beautiful things for her children, grandchildren and friends. We all enjoyed her many wonderful baking “treats”.
Evelyn is survived by her three children, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Sons Dwayne (Cherry), Darcy (Colleen), and daughter Gaylene (Matt); grandchildren Mike, Sharon and Katarayna; great grandchildren Drew and Emily; one brother Harvey (Judy) and his family, also her dear friend Mel.
Evelyn will be sadly missed by family and friends. Many thanks to her wonderful friends, Trudy and Jean, for all their help.
Memorial Service will be held on Friday, July 17, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at the Kenora Funeral Home in Keewatin, Ontario.
In lieu of flowers, please give to the Chemotherapy Department at the Lake of the Woods Hospital.
