Shaun Edwin Peters – February 4, 1974 – May 15, 2009

It is with great sadness that the family of Shaun Edwin Peters announces his sudden passing.
Shaun was born February 4, 1974 in Dryden to Karen and Wayne Peters and passed away suddenly Friday, May 15, 2009.
Shaun lived in Dryden most of his life except for a short period of time when he lived in Whitehorse, Yukon.  Shaun’s biggest enjoyment in life was his family; especially his pride and joy, his son Jackson.  Shaun was very proud of the home and property that he and Donna purchased last summer.  He enjoyed building trails so he could go ATVing with his family.  He enjoyed hiking with his dog, snowmachining, fishing, camping, renovating the basement, and tinkering in the garage.  Shaun had a very special spot picked out to build his children a fort.  As well he was going to try and have his first vegetable garden this year.  Shaun was looking forward to the arrival of his twin girls.
He attended Hillcrest and Barclay Public Schools, then on to Dryden High School where he graduated from Grade 12.  He worked for Wayne Peters Trucking straight out of high school until 6 months ago when he went to work for Gardewine. Shaun made many friends throughout his lifetime and maintained those friendships.
Shaun is survived by his wife and best friend Donna Hastings, son Jackson Peters, twin girls to arrive in the next month Madeline (Maddie) and Emma Peters, stepdaughters Dakota and Sierra, his parents Karen and Wayne Peters, his brother and sister-in-law Barry (Karen) Peters, nephews Colton and Daylan Peters, in-laws Nancy and Greg Hastings, grandparents Marg and Stan Thomson.  Also left behind are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Shaun was predeceased by his grandparents Helen and Bill Peters and uncle Ken Peters.
A funeral service was held Thursday, May 21st at the Full Gospel Church in Dryden with Pastor Al Huckabay officiating. Cremation followed and interment of ashes will take place at a later date in the Oxdrift Cemetery.
Pallbearers were friends Paul Costello, Chris Laforte, Byron McQuarrie, Ron Dyck, Uncle Bruce Thomson, and Cousin Ryan Runge.
Should friends desire donations can be made to support Shaun’s children through the Stevens Funeral Homes “Moffat Chapel” P.O. Box 412, Dryden, P8N 2Z1. Condolences may be emailed to sympathycard@shaw.ca subject: Peters.
