In loving memory of Delia Mason who passed away at the age of 99 years on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at Rainycrest Home for the Aged in Fort Frances.
Delia was born in Vassar, Manitoba on July 21st, 1909 and moved to Fort Frances in 1928. Delia worked as a Children’s Librarian at the Fort Frances Library for many years. She enjoyed playing bridge with special friends, needlepoint, oil painting, knitting and reading until her eyesight failed.
Delia was predeceased by her husband Roy in May 1985, two sisters Annette Bone and Aurore Tardiff.
Delia is survived by her two sons, Edgar (Diane) of Dryden, ON and Don (Pam) of International Falls, MN and special niece Grace (Dennis) Huntley of Fort Frances; seven grandchildren, Hugh (Linnia), Dryden; Douglas (Erin), Kingston, and Valerie Gamble (Tom) Dryden; Nancy Imhof (Mike), Littlefork; Bill (Shawn) International Falls, Bob (Victoria) Minneapolis, and Jim (Stephanie) International Falls. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Visitation was held Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ontario.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ontario.
Reverend Barbara Miller officiated with interment in Riverview Cemetery, in Fort Frances, Ontario.
Active pallbearers were Doug Mason, Hugh Mason, Jim Mason, Bill Mason, Bob Mason and Tom McKeever.
